The Start of a New Year

This week we gave out 163 school backpacks filled with school supplies, 163 pairs of leather shoes, and 163 sets of school uniforms. But, more importantly, we gave out an opportunity. Each one of these students, from the very youngest to the oldest, has the opportunity to grow and learn, not just academically, although that is important, but also spiritually, as they participate in morning devotional time 5 days a week and sit under the tutelage of Christian teachers receiving a Christ-centered curriculum.

Providing these 163 students the opportunity to learn about Him and who they are in Him is at the heart of why we have this Educational Sponsorship Program. I'm excited to watch them grow over the course of this school year!
